A CROSS- DISCIPLINARY APPROACH
Vlad Tenu’s cross-disciplinary approach to design and fabrication is about reinventing the digital craft in the creation of ambitious, experiential designs: site specific sculptural installations, exhibition pavilions and pop-up display pieces, public art and private commissions, as well as creative collaborations with international brands and celebrities.
PUBLIC ART
Whether they are in a square, an atrium space or lobby, Vlad’s site specific art pieces and modular pavilions are carefully designed and simple to install, often socially engaging with the public and communities in a collaborative act of creating them.
INSTALLATIONS
His architectural background is a key element in designing spatial experiences through immersive sculptural art installations not only placed in museums or art galleries, but also in unconventional spaces such as music halls or warehouses.
BRAND COLLABORATIONS
Driven by innovation, Vlad’s multi-disciplinary ethos is grounded in collaboration. FORÆVA by Lana Dumitru & Vlad Tenu is a perfect example of a successful collaboration with Swarovski, a project challenging perceptions and opening new directions for existing markets and audiences.
MODULAR & POP-UP
Modularity and versatility are intrinsic to his algorithmic design process, creating assembly systems which can change shape and adapt for future use. Such a demountable system became a pop-up display feature for DelRioLondon re-used for several fashion fairs, such as Revolver Trade Show in Copenhagen.
WEARABLE ART
Creating magical, sensorial experiences through scenography or stage outfits has always been a creative aspiration driven by Vlad’s interests in music, theatre, performance and costume. A dream came true when his Foræva crystal dress designed with Lana Dumitru was worn on stage by Björk during her Utopia Tour.
